Halal Slaughter Procedures

Muslim Slaughter-man

All slaughtering will be done manually and not by a machine. Currently, HLRB Processing Sdn Bhd has 35 certified local Muslim Slaughter-men.

Clean and Sharp Knife

Our poultry is slaughtered by using a sharp knife. It would be done in one stroke without lifting the knife. The knife would not be placed and lifted when slaughtering the poultry.

Slaughter Alive

Islam prohibits Muslims from eating any meat coming from an animal that is dead before slaughter. Our poultry is alive at the time of slaughter.

Bismillah Allahu Akbar

The name of Allah will be mentioned at the time of slaughtering by saying: Bismillah Allahu Akbar. (In the Name of Allah; Allah is the Greatest.)

Hasten and Lengthy Bleeding

We will keep the bleeding process of the poultry for 5.23 minutes.

Halal Checker

Our Muslim Halal checker would be present at the slaughter hall to check the stunning operation, to ensure the halal slaughter, proper bleeding, determination of death prior to dressing operations, handling of non-compliance carcass and records.
